Client onboarding for agencies: brand assets, access and agreements
DocAsker handles client onboarding for agencies. Each new client gets one secure link with a checklist for logo files, brand guidelines, ad and analytics account IDs, a signed service agreement and a purchase order. Every upload is checked by AI as it arrives, so an unsigned agreement or a blurry screenshot of the brand guide goes back to the client before kickoff.

Why agency onboarding stalls before kickoff
Kickoff without the brand files
The project starts, and the only logo you have is a small image saved from the client's website. The original files sit with someone who has left, or with a previous agency.
Access requests that drag on
Ad accounts, analytics and social profiles each need a different admin on the client side. Without one list of what is still missing, the first weeks go on follow-up emails.
Work starting before the paperwork
Your team is ready to begin, but the signed agreement, purchase order or supplier form is still with the client's legal or finance team. Starting without them puts scope and billing at risk.
What DocAsker checks when clients upload
A signed service agreement
DocAsker checks that the signature fields are filled in. Your client sees: "The signature field on page 5 is empty. Please sign the service agreement and upload all pages again."
Files you can actually use
Phone photos of printed brand guides are often too soft to work from. Your client sees: "This image is too blurry to read. Please upload the original file or a sharper photo."
The document you asked for
A quote is not a purchase order. Your client sees: "This looks like a quote, not a signed purchase order. Please upload the purchase order from your finance team."
Complete brand guidelines
Multi-page documents are checked for missing pages. Your client sees: "Pages 13 to 40 of the brand guidelines are missing. Please upload the full PDF."

How agencies use DocAsker to onboard clients
1Build your onboarding checklist
Start from the agency client onboarding checklist and add what your services need. Give each item an instruction and an example, such as where to find an ad account ID.
2Send one link when the client signs on
Once the client says yes, send one link. Your contact uploads from any device without an account, and can come back to the same link as they gather files from finance and IT.
3Fix problems early
Unsigned pages, blurry images and wrong documents go back with a reason as soon as they arrive. Reminders list only the items still missing and stop when the checklist is complete.
4Start with everything in one folder
Accepted files are renamed and filed to your workspace, or to Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive on Pro and Firm. On Pro and Firm, the upload page also carries your logo and colors.
Frequently asked questions
Do our clients need an account to upload files?
No. Clients open the link on any phone or computer and upload without an account, password or app. They can return to the same link later to add the items they are still gathering.
Where do client brand files go, and are they secure?
Accepted files are stored in your DocAsker workspace, or filed to Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive on the Pro and Firm plans. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest, every upload and download is logged, and you can revoke a link at any time.
Which file types can clients upload?
DocAsker accepts PDF, JPG, PNG, HEIC, Word and Excel files. Ask for vector logos exported as PDF and other brand assets as PNG or JPG, and send source design files through your usual file-sharing route.
Should clients send passwords through DocAsker?
No. Ask clients to add your team as users on their ad, analytics and social accounts instead of sharing passwords. Use DocAsker to collect the account IDs and the list of people who need access, so nothing is missed.
Can the upload page show our agency's branding?
Yes, on the Pro and Firm plans. Pro is $79 a month and adds your logo and colors, SMS reminders and filing to Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive.
